Monmouth Music Academy loves to share our passion for music with public schools. Our founder, Abe Ovadia has conducted assemblies for thousands of children in schools throughout the country.
Assemblies are a wonderful way to teach children of all ages about jazz, America’s original art form. We also conduct master classes with students enrolled in the school’s band program.

"A wonderful opportunity to hear and learn about the music that has its roots firmly planted in our own country. After all, it's not often our students are exposed to simple jazz with such a smooth and easy beat. They couldn't help but clap along and enjoy the show." - Principal Sonja Franklin, Lake Placid Elementary School in Lake Placid NY
“What a GREAT assembly. The feedback from both students and staff was that this assembly was amazing. The students absolutely loved listening to Abe play while learning about different styles of music. Students talked about it for days after, leaving a positive impression.” - Principal Xavier Kimber, Brookhaven Elementary School in Rockville MD
“Abe is a fantastic musician with an amicable disposition and engaging personality. His clinics/performance for our students was well planned and kept the students engaged throughout. His presentation was a good balance of question/answering and performing. Abe’s presentation is appropriate for all ages and perfect for any music department or school assembly.” - Jennifer Poorman Hodgson, Band Director at Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin NJ
“He was engaging, informative and was able show by example how to improve their playing. The students players were able to see first hand what is possible, and Abe let them see that they were able to get there through the correct direction and practice. Abe spoke to them, not at them” - John Manziano, Band Director at Marlboro Middle School in Marlboro NJ
